Laser hair reduction uses an intense burst of light that is absorbed by the hair follicle.
The light energy damages the follicle to reduce future hair growth.
Protective eyewear is worn by:
The patient
All personnel in the treatment room
to prevent eye injury from the laser light.
Multiple treatments are required for optimal results.
Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.

The laser sensation may feel like:
A slight pinprick
A brief heat sensation
Discomfort is temporary.
Sensations of warmth or sensitivity may last several hours post-treatment.

Reduces hair growth
Does not guarantee permanent hair removal
Multiple sessions are required due to the hair growth cycle.
Results depend on:
Hair colour and thickness
Skin type
Hormonal factors
Adherence to treatment schedule and aftercare
Maintenance treatments may be required long term.

Redness
Swelling

Increased risk of complications if:
Sun exposure occurs
Post-care instructions are not followed
Contact the clinic immediately if you experience:
Blistering
Scabbing
Signs of infection
Persistent or worsening pigmentation changes

Skin & Hair Preparation
No fake tan for at least 2 weeks prior, including:
Self-tan
Spray tan
Gradual tan
Tanning drops
Skin must be completely free of artificial colour.
Avoid sun exposure for 2–4 weeks prior to treatment.
Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment.
Do not wax, pluck or thread for at least 4 weeks prior.
Do not bleach hair for 2 weeks prior.
No waxing, epilating or depilatory creams for 4 weeks prior.
Skincare & Products
Keep skin clean on the day of treatment.
Do not apply:
Lotions
Moisturisers
Perfumes
Deodorant
Makeup to the treatment area.
Avoid active skincare on the area for 3–5 days prior, including:
Retinols
Vitamin C
Glycolic acid
Salicylic acid
AHAs / BHAs
Heat & Lifestyle
Avoid heat-based activities on the day of treatment:
Hot showers
Saunas
Steam rooms
Vigorous exercise
Clothing & Administration
Wear loose, comfortable clothing for body treatments.
Ensure your patient registration form is completed prior to your appointment.

Sun & Heat
Avoid sun exposure for 2–4 weeks post-treatment.
Apply broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily to treated areas.
Avoid heat for 24–48 hours, including:
Hot showers
Saunas
Spas
Steam rooms
Heavy exercise or sweating
Skin Care
Do not pick, scratch or rub the treated area.
Avoid active skincare for 3–5 days, including:
Retinols
AHAs / BHAs
Vitamin C
Exfoliants
Keep the area clean and dry.
Avoid tight or restrictive clothing that may cause friction.
Avoid deodorant on treated underarms for at least 24 hours (if applicable).
Hair Removal Between Sessions
Do not wax, pluck or thread between treatments.
Shaving only is permitted during your laser treatment course.
Additional Care
No fake tan for 7–14 days post-treatment.
Avoid swimming:
In chlorinated pools
At the beach
for 48 hours.
Apply soothing products as needed, such as:
Aloe vera
Vitamin E cream
Cool compresses

Shedding of treated hairs over 7–21 days is normal.
Sun exposure and non-adherence to aftercare significantly increase the risk of complications.
Always follow the post-care instructions provided.
