PRP - Hair Restoration

Treatment Information, Risks & Aftercare

  • PRP for hair restoration uses the patient’s own blood, processed to concentrate:

    • Platelets

    • Growth factors

    • Plasma

PRP is injected into the scalp to support:

    • Hair follicle stimulation

    • Tissue repair

    • Improved regenerative activity at the injection site

There is no medical technique that can guarantee:

    • Hair regrowth

    • Reversal of hair loss

    • A specific cosmetic or density outcome

    • Over 8,000 published research articles support PRP use in healing

    • Alocuro’s PRP system incorporates evidence-based research protocols

    • Your treating Nurse believes PRP is a reasonable treatment option, with potential benefits outweighing the small risks

  • Number of treatments depends on:

    • Severity of hair loss

    • Individual response

    Recommended minimum treatment plan:

    • 3 PRP treatments

    • Performed 4 weeks apart

    • 8 weeks after the third treatment, progress is assessed to plan ongoing care

    Each session includes:

    • Blood collection

    • PRP extraction via centrifuge

    • PRP injection into the scalp

    • Injections are very superficial, approximately 1.5 mm below the skin surface

  • Results vary between individuals

    PRP is not guaranteed to:

    • Stop hair loss

    • Regrow hair

    • Achieve a specific density or coverage

    Improvements, if achieved, are:
